contains cutting-edge technology that allows for the precise sorting and
processing of recyclable materials.
TOTAL RECYCLE NO LONGER ACCEPTS ELECTRONIC WASTE
Situated on a 14-acre site in Berk’s County, this 75,000 square
foot facility accepts all items capable of being recycled, including, but not
limited to, plastics #1-7, cardboard (OCC), aluminum, newspaper (ONP), clear
and colored glass, steel, tin, aseptics and cartons. We work
with businesses, waste haulers, municipalities and residents to enhance your sustainability
efforts. We further reduce waste and
increase recycling rates by eliminating the need for our customers to separate
recyclables themselves and making your recycling process simple.
TotalRecycle is the only facility of this magnitude in the
area. With its beautiful infrastructure,
the complex looks more like a resort than a recycling plant. However, it is capable of processing 700 ton
of recyclables a day or almost 20,000 ton a month. That equates to 560,000 homes a week or over 50
cities the size of Reading! TotalRecycle is approved to run 20 hours a day, six
days a week.
TotalRecycle plays an essential role in the successful
and expanded recycling efforts in, not only Berks County, but the surrounding
counties and states. We have the ability
and infrastructure to reach Montgomery County, Bucks County, Lehigh County,
Chester County, Delaware County, Lancaster County Philadelphia County, Carbon
County and Morris County, as well as additional areas throughout Pennsylvania,
New Jersey and Delaware.

Working toward a green future is a serious goal at Mascaro and discovering answers to difficult problems is one way of accomplishing this priority. To answer customer concerns on what to do with items that are burdensome to get rid of and don't belong in landfills, residents now have the unique opportunity
to individually dispose of their recyclables in a convenient way.
To complement our latest
state-or-the-art Material Recovery Facility (MRF), TotalRecycle, we have built
a 10,000 sg. ft. building containing a Public-Drop off center. This center provides residents with the opportunity to discard their recyclables in a
reliable, safe and easily assessable location.
The Drop-Off center accepts all
recyclable materials, even those items that are commonly difficult to find
homes for. These items include mixed paper, cardboard, cartons, glass, plastic #1-#7, ferrous
metal, scrap metal, aluminum, copper and brass.
The community is welcome to enter the main driveway
off of 1270 Lincoln St in Birdsboro and follow signs to the location
spot. This is where a TotalRecycle representative will greet each person
and walk them through the process. Current operating hours are Thursday
and Friday from 12pm-5pm and Saturday from 7am- noon.
