The Pioneer Crossing Landfill Citizens Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to attend. This meeting takes place in the education center building at the landfill on the third Wednesday of the month starting at 1:00 pm. 

Pioneer Crossing Landfill is Mascaro’s primary disposal facility. Permitted for 1,975 tons per day, Pioneer Crossing has a Host Community Agreement with Exeter Township and was the first Pennsylvania Landfill to receive an expansion permit under DEP's strict Harms/Benefit Analysis.

This elusive permit gives us at least 20 years of additional disposal capacity for our customers and expansion capabilities of over 60 years. 

Pioneer Crossing is impeccably cared for inside and out.   It is rigorously designed to protect the environment from any harmful contaminants. It is also home to a unique, cutting-edge gas-to-energy facility to further protect our environment.  See how our landfills work!

Pioneer is approved to accept Residual Wastes and Special Wastes.  This includes non-hazardous metals, contaminated and petroleum contaminated soil and debris, coal and wood derived bottom and fly ash, and foundry sand slag and dust.  Autoclaved medical waste, asbestos (friable and non-friable), and PCB contaminated wastes are also permitted. 

All Special Waste will be reviewed by our professionals to ensure adherence with the facility's permit and DEP guidelines and also reviewed and approved by Pennsylvania DEP prior to facility receipt.  Approval paperwork can be processed electronically and timely approvals granted.  Manifesting paperwork is provided at no additional charge.  Daily, weekly and monthly tracking reports are included upon request.
