Our Transfer Stations allow us to regulate waste before it is moved to its final destination. This minimizes cost and environmental impact. The Mascaro Souderton Transfer Station, located in Franconia Township,
Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, was first permitted in 1981 by the
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. It is a
municipal and residual waste processing and transfer facility licensed
to receive up to 800 tons of waste per day. Collection
vehicles deliver and deposit their loads on a tipping floor. The waste is
pushed by a loader manned by an experienced operator into a pit where the
waste is compacted into trailers for transportation to a
disposal facility. The hours of operation are Monday thru Saturday, 5:00am till
7:00pm with processing to be complete by 10:00 pm.
A certified scale master operates the electronic scale. A
dispatch operator is in communication with the vehicles coming to
and from the facility. The site also houses a maintenance facility for
equipment and vehicles. The facility is managed by both an onsite General Manager
and an Operations Manager. In addition, a Compliance Specialist
oversees compliance with the permit conditions. A recycling drop off
center is located on site.
