Local solid waste and recycling company, J.P. Mascaro
& Sons has been awarded a 3-year contract to serve Birdsboro Borough, Berks
County. The new contract starts January 1, 2018 and covers collection of single
stream recyclables for all residents at a cost of $150,000.00. Recyclables
collected will be processed by TotalRecycle, Mascaro’s new state-of-the-art
Materials Recovery Facility located in the borough. The Mascaro owned facility
has processed over 190 million pounds of recyclable material since it opened in
February 2016.
