Local waste collection company, J.P. Mascaro & Sons, has secured a five-year contract to provide waste and recycling collection services for the Borough of Larksville in Luzerne County. The contract is valued at approximately $4 million and ensures all residents' weekly collection of trash and recyclables. This service will begin on January 1, 2025. Mascaro will manage the Larksville Borough contract from its Wyoming Valley Division located in the City of Nanticoke. This division operates with a fleet of 75 collection vehicles and employs 100 staff members, servicing various municipalities, institutions, and commercial and industrial clients throughout the Wyoming Valley.
