The local waste collection company J.P. Mascaro & Sons has secured a 5-year contract with a one-year extension option for waste and recycling collection services for the Borough of Alburtis, Lehigh County. The contract is worth approximately $4 million and entails providing weekly trash and recyclables collection for residents in the Borough of Alburtis. The contract will begin on January 1, 2025. Mascaro will be responsible for servicing the Alburtis Borough contract from its Lehigh Valley Division in Allentown. The division has an infrastructure of 75 collection vehicles and 100 employees and serves various municipalities, institutions, and commercial and industrial customers in the greater Lehigh Valley.
In reference to the new contract, Sam Augustine, Director of Sales, stated, "Our company is continuing to expand in Lehigh County, and we are excited about the opportunity to serve the residents of Alburtis Borough."
