Local waste company J. P. Mascaro & Sons has been awarded a five-year service contract, with five annual option years totaling a ten-year contract award. This contract is valued at $16.8 million dollars to serve the City of Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. Mascaro will be responsible for providing once a week trash collection and every other week for recycling collection services for all residents of the city.
Mascaro Company Sales and Marketing Director, Sam Augustine, said, "We are extremely pleased that our company has been chosen to serve the City’s residents for the next ten years. We value our business relationship with the City.” Mascaro’s local Nanticoke Division will perform the once-a-week collection service. J. P.
