MASCARO OPENS NEW TRANSFER STATION IN FRANCONIA TOWNSHIP

Local waste service company, J.P. Mascaro & Sons, announced their plans to open a new transfer station in order to keep up with its significant increase in production.  Located in Franconia Township in close proximity to existing Mascaro divisional operations, this new facility will allow Mascaro to successfully serve its growing business needs.  The current Souderton transfer station is capable of handling 800 tons per day of municipal solid waste (MSW) and single stream recyclable material (SSRM).  At 25,000 sq. ft., featuring a tipping floor containing a 20ft high plush wall and indoor tarping area, the new operation allows for the unloading of four collection vehicles simultaneously (MSW or SSRM). This material will then be loaded into trailers bound for Pioneer Crossing Landfill or TotalRecycle.

“The hub of our company’s successful business operations is in the five county Philadelphia region,” said Mascaro President, Pat Mascaro, speaking on this new construction project, “Due to our recent business growth and our anticipated future growth, our organization needs to enhance and modernize its transportation operations.  This new facility will do exactly that.”

Mascaro’s upgraded state-of-the-art waste and recycling transfer station is situated on company owned property. It is currently under construction and is expected to open by the end of summer.
