In January, Mascaro opened its doors to TotalRecycle, a 75,000 square foot, single-stream recycling facility, situated on a 14 acre site in Berk’s County. TotalRecycle works with businesses, waste haulers, municipalities and individuals to meet their recycling needs. It is capable of processing over 700 tons of recyclables a day or almost 20,000 ton a month and is approved to run 20 hours a day, six days a week. Additionally, TotalRecycle plans to be the solution to current problematic waste, such as electronic waste, batteries, light bulbs, etc. and will handle the important recycling processing of shredding and scrap. The facility is the only operation of this magnitude in the area and was built to optimize environmental performance.

Customers have the ability to observe this devotion first-hand. The operation is designed for the public to witness recyclables being processed from either the cat-walk or the state-of-the-art camera and security systems. There is also an education center and tours available for school children and other organizations.
