J. P. MASCARO & SONS TO BOLSTER LOCAL BUSINESS INFRASTRUCTURE WITH CONSTRUCTION OF TWO NEW TRANSPORTATION TERMINALS

The business of local waste service company J. P. Mascaro & Sons has increased significantly over the last decade, and today the company announced plans to enhance its local business infrastructure with the construction of two new transportation terminals to serve its growing business needs.

One terminal will be in Franconia Township, Montgomery County, and the other will be in Birdsboro, Berks County, and both will be in close proximity to existing Mascaro divisional operations.

Speaking to these new construction projects, company President, Pat Mascaro, said, "The hub of our company's successful business operations is in the five-county Philadelphia region, and because of our recent past business growth and our anticipated future growth, the company needs to enhance and modernize its transportation division operations.  The two new terminals that are planned will do exactly that."

The new division terminal in Franconia Township will be on company-owned property adjacent to Mascaro's upgraded state-of-the-art waste/recycling transfer station that is currently under construction, and the new division terminal in Birdsboro will be adjacent to the company's TotalRecycle single stream recycling facility and to Pioneer Crossing, the company's modern regional disposal facility.

Both of the new terminal projects are in the design planning stage, with construction to be completed in the next 24 months at a projected cost of $7 million.

Michael Mascaro, the company Vice President of Operations, said, "Both of the terminals will be built with ergonomical considerations in mind to provide the best and safest work atmosphere for company employees, and both terminals will have modern offices, maintenance and storage areas, container restoration and painting bays, and efficient and environmentally contained truck washing capabilities.
