Waste removal company J. P. Mascaro & Sons is partnering with the Borough of Bridgeport to host a Job Fair to fill openings at the company. The Job Fair is scheduled to be held outside on Friday, November 6th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Borough Hall parking lot at 63 West 4th Street, Bridgeport.
Among the positions J. P. Mascaro & Sons is looking to fill are: CDL Drivers, Diesel Mechanics, Service Technicians and Drivers' Helpers (Laborers). According to Frank Sau, spokesman for Mascaro, the openings would be a good opportunity for someone living in the Bridgeport area. "If someone is commuting to work, we are offering jobs for all different types of open positions locally," he said, adding that the job openings will service Bridgeport and surrounding municipalities, including Norristown, Lower Providence, Ambler, Upper Merion, East Norriton and West Norriton.
Those attending the Job Fair are asked to bring two forms of identification with them. Representatives from Mascaro's Human Resources Department will be onsite, and interviews will be conducted on-the-spot. Qualified candidates can receive a job offer that day, according to Sau. "We have been in business for 50 years. We have an excellent Benefits Package – benefits that other companies aren't providing," he said. He added that growth of the company and industry competition has led to the need for the additional employees. "Everyone is competing for employees, and we want candidates to know what we have to offer," said Sau. Social distancing guidelines will be followed at the outdoor Job Fair event, and attendees are asked to bring a mask.
