J. P. MASCARO & SONS INVESTS OVER $8 MILLION IN NEW WASTE TRANSPORTATION EQUIPMENT

Local waste service company J. P. Mascaro & Sons was recently awarded one of the largest waste transportation and disposal contracts in the country by the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority.  Under that multi-million dollar five year contract that started on December 15, 2020, Mascaro is responsible for operating two waste transfer stations in Morris County, New Jersey, and for transporting and disposing of all Morris County waste delivered to those transfer stations.

To meet its Morris County contract performance obligations, Mascaro Vice-President of Operations, Michael Mascaro, announced that the company invested over $8 million on the purchase of 25 new 2021 International RH613 truck tractors and 78 new 2021 100-cubic yard transfer trailers.

Company Director of Purchasing, Thomas Cook, who quarterbacked this massive equipment purchase, said, "My staff and I worked diligently on this large capital purchase and we are confident that we have secured 'top-of-the-line' equipment that will be used to provide Morris County with high-quality service for the full five year term of our contract."

Speaking to the equipment purchase, company Director of Maintenance, Aaron Shaw, said, "I am extremely pleased with these equipment additions to our company's modern transportation fleet.  This new equipment is of the highest caliber, and in all respects it has the full endorsement of our company drivers, mechanics and fleet managers."

Shaw added, "The new trucks and trailers have all of the modern 'bells and whistles' relating, most importantly, to vehicle safety, and also to operational technology and performance, to driver comfort, to fuel efficiency, and to payload maximization.  This equipment will serve the company and Morris County well for years to come."

The newly-purchased equipment will be on the road five and a half days per week, Monday through Saturday, transporting and disposing of waste for Morris County, its 494,000 residents, and its many commercial and business establishments.

J. P. Mascaro & Sons is a major regional provider of waste removal and recycling services for thousands of customers in the municipal, residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and governmental sectors, and it is a recognized leader in the waste industry.  For more information about Mascaro, its services, its facilities, and its infrastructure, visit the company website at www.jpmascaro.com.
