Local waste removal company, J. P. Mascaro & Sons has decided to initiate a “box lunch” program for its employees working on the streets servicing the communities and at its production facilities. Pat Mascaro Jr., Director of Human Resources for the company, indicated the program is twofold:
1. To minimize the interactions of our employees with the general public while on route or the need to leave the production facility and create unnecessary exposure.
2. To provide some of our restaurant customers an opportunity to have some revenue sources through take out business during the existing mandated closures.
The program comes at a significant cost; however, it is the right thing to do with the need during this difficult time to minimize any unnecessary congregations or interactions stated Mascaro. Our men and women on the streets and at our production facilities are the face of J. P. Mascaro & Sons. We are extremely proud of our workforce and the true test of the character of a company is how they react to difficult times and for certain the present state of affairs is extremely difficult for all businesses and our society as a whole.
The program will be in effect over the next 15 to 30 days.
