Local waste removal/disposal company, J. P. Mascaro &
Sons, has announced the purchase of a 33-acre parcel of ground in Limerick
Township zoned for a junkyard. The
acquisition is consistent with Mascaro’s approach to be fully integrated in
every aspect of the solid waste/recycling industry.
President of the company, Pat Mascaro Sr., indicated the
acquisition was a “natural” for the company in that it would compliment our
existing infrastructure of every type of facility available with the waste
removal/recycling industry. The facility
is strategically situated and provides the capability to broaden the type of
services available to our customers.
J. P. Mascaro & Sons is the leading solid waste removal/private
operator in the region. The company
employs over 850 people and operates 450 collection/transfer vehicles each
day. The company was started over 50
years ago by its founder, J. P. Mascaro Sr., and is operated by his four sons
and thirteen third generation of Mascaro’s.
Pat Mascaro indicated the company is poised for continuous
growth. Recent investments have been
made in the construction of a new transfer facility in Franconia, Pennsylvania
and the construction of a new recycling/receipt facility in Bridgeport,
Pennsylvania. These additions are occurring in conjunction with a two-year
program coming to a conclusion over the next 90 days whereby Mascaro had
refurbished all of its operating collection terminals.
Mascaro stated our approach has always been and will
continue to be family owned and operated with a commitment to reinvest back
into our business each year to maintain equipment and infrastructure which
allows us to serve our customers at all times.
We have always been guided by the motto of our father, J. P. Mascaro
Sr., “If It’s Service, It’s Us”.
