Several years ago, J. P. Mascaro & Sons launched its company-developed
RESPECT Program and committed $1.25 million to community educational initiatives.
In furtherance of that commitment, company Director of Education and Community
Relations, Lindsay Mascaro-Ptaszenski, announced today that over the next five years
Mascaro will allocate an additional $2.5 million for community education programs and
activities, including a continuation and improvement of the RESPECT Program.
Ms. Mascaro-Ptaszenski said, “I have headed our company’s Community
Education Department for the last three years and I am proud of our efforts and
accomplishments thus far, but I am more excited about what we will be able to do in the 2
future to enhance our company’s already substantial commitment to community
education.”
The foundation of the company’s community education efforts is the Mascaro
RESPECT Program, which is a fun-filled interactive program presented thus far to more
than 125,000 children in area elementary schools. That program is designed to remind
children of the importance of respect in their lives, including respect for the environment
and preservation. The company’s efforts also include individual student scholarships,
substantial annual educational grants to numerous schools for new developmental
programs and activities, and other educational programs.
As stated by company President, Pat Mascaro, “Education at all levels is an
essential component of a modern, progressive society, and it involves both the private
and public sectors. Even in these difficult economic times, where extra dollars are not
easily found, our family and company remain totally dedicated to the community
educational initiatives we have implemented and advanced. Educational programs and
activities have been and will continue to be a large part of Mascaro’s commitment to the
communities it serves.”
