The City of Reading recently awarded a Biosolids Management Contract valued up to $13 million to local waste service company J. P. Mascaro & Sons.
Under that contract, Mascaro's Berks County operating division, for up to the next five years, will be responsible for collecting and transporting biosolids from the City's wastewater treatment plant and disposing of that material at the company's Pioneer Crossing Landfill.
Company Vice President of Operations, Michael Mascaro, said, "We are happy to receive and serve this important City contract, and we look forward to providing first class service to the City for the next five years."
This City of Reading contract is one of many biosolids management contracts currently being performed by J. P. Mascaro & Sons. Mascaro is one of the region's largest providers of biosolids composting and disposal and of specialty waste management.
